On the ocassion of the Greenland National Day we invite secondary schools to participate in the LIQUIDICE online lesson!

Description: Greenland (Kalaallit Nunaat) is home to the Greenlandic Inuit, Kalaallit Inuit. In this talk, Dr. Asta Mønsted will introduce Greenland’s unique environment, culture, and history before exploring how climate change is affecting everyday life and the landscape. It also explores how Greenland is navigating the transition toward a more sustainable future.

Expert: Asta Mønsted is an archaeologist from Kalaallit Nunaat and a researcher at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Her work focuses on Arctic Inuit culture, history, and relationships with the environment. Her work combines archaeology with oral history and Indigenous knowledge. Her current research explores how Kalaallit communities experience environmental change and how Indigenous perspectives can contribute to discussions on sustainability and the green transition.
